Why are alot of Christians against the teaching of Sex education in public schools?

i never understood what was so wrong about it. i mean you LEARN about the sex organs and what they do, why shouldn't you also learn how to properly equip yourself against std's and pregnancy? i think it's ridiculous.

Because they seem to think that teaching kids anything about sex will stop them from being abstinent until marriage. It just seems stupid to me.
